We are pleased to announce that PWGC has acquired Washington-based Hospital Waste Management (HWM), a hazardous material and waste management company serving the healthcare industry.
Founded by Alan Jones, PhD, HWM has successfully aided hospitals in the Pacific Northwest with regulatory compliance issues at the local, state and federal level since 1997.
With the acquisition, Dr. Jones has been named Director of Healthcare Compliance for PWGC, and the merger will enable him to deliver a greater level of environmental compliance service to his growing list of hospital clients in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Jones will be joining Marie Mendes, branch manager of PWGC’s Seattle office, in leading the effort to grow the influence of both firms in Pacific Northwest.
Since it was founded, HWM has been assisting healthcare providers by assisting with waste stream management, developing hazardous material inventories, providing in-house staff training and acting as a liaison between hospitals and the regulators that serve to govern the industry.
