P.W. Grosser Consulting Engineer & Hydrogeologist, D.P.C. (PWGC) celebrates Tim D’Agostino, PE, ENV SP, on receiving the 2026 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Young Professional of the Year Award. The recognition honors an emerging engineering leader making meaningful contributions to their firm, clients and community.
Administered by the ACEC College of Fellows, the program recognizes excellence, leadership and service that advance the engineering profession and deliver tangible benefits to society. For Tim, the recognition highlights a career focused on water quality, environmental protection and practical solutions to infrastructure challenges.

A Career Built on Engineering, Leadership and Service
As a project manager on PWGC’s engineering team, Tim combines technical knowledge with a commitment to professional leadership and community service. His technical background spans drinking water treatment, groundwater investigations, water supply infrastructure, and environmental compliance. A licensed professional engineer and Envision Sustainability Professional, he leads assignments ranging from treatment evaluations and engineering design to construction oversight. He manages multidisciplinary teams, leads project meetings and coordinates with clients and regulatory agencies, helping translate technical findings into practical solutions.
Tim’s leadership extends beyond PWGC through his service as the current president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Long Island Branch, a role that reflects his commitment to the broader engineering community. His professional involvement includes leading the executive board and members across Long Island, as well as representing the New York State delegation at the ASCE Legislative Fly-In. His dedication was rewarded in 2022 when he was named among the 2022 ASCE New Faces of Civil Engineering Professionals class.
That record of achievement continued in 2024, when Tim was named the ASCE Long Island Young Engineer of the Year and was the ASCE Metropolitan Section Thomas C. Kavanagh Service Award recipient. In 2024 he was recognized among LIBN’s 2024 Emerging Leaders Under 30. Together, these honors highlight his professional growth and sustained dedication to the engineering community.
Most recently, Tim was named a 2025 Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer by the ASCE New York State Council, was a 2025 AAEES 40 under 40 Honoree, and received the 2026 NYSAWWA Young Professional of the Year award in recognition of his engineering achievements.
Tim’s commitment to service also shapes his mentoring roles with ACE Mentor of Greater New York, and volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, the University of Delaware, and other groups. Through these activities, Tim gives back to his community and supports students as they explore their educational and career paths, extending his impact beyond engineering projects to the next generation of professionals.
“Tim exemplifies what it means to lead through both engineering and service. From addressing water quality challenges to mentoring future professionals and volunteering in his community, he puts his knowledge and energy toward helping others. His recognition by ACEC celebrates that broader commitment, and everyone at PWGC is proud to congratulate him on this achievement,” said PWGC President and CEO, Paul K. Boyce, PE, PG.
Recognition with a Broader Purpose
The ACEC Young Professional of the Year program highlights the accomplishments of young engineers and the resulting impact on society.

“It is an honor to have been nominated by ACEC New York and receive this recognition,” said Tim. “The most rewarding part of engineering is how it can improve people’s lives. I am grateful to the colleagues, mentors and clients who have supported my growth and provided opportunities to contribute to projects that protect water resources and serve communities.”
PWGC congratulates Tim on this well-deserved recognition. We also extend our congratulations to the fellow finalists: Alyssa Sooklal, PE, ENV SP, CFM, of Maryland; Farrell Nicholson, PE, of North Carolina; Kimberly Koehl, PE, of Louisiana; and Raeanna Thiele, PE, of Nebraska. Together, these emerging leaders demonstrate the talent, dedication and commitment to service helping shape the future of engineering.
