Michael Gaul Is Making Waves in Wetland Science

We are thrilled to announce that Michael Gaul, Senior Project Manager, has been elected President of the Mid‑Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS), an honor that recognizes his exemplary leadership and deep commitment to wetland science.

A Journey of Growth and Dedication

Michael joined PWGC in 2014 as an Environmental Scientist, advancing through the organization and being promoted to Senior Project Manager, highlighting his expertise and dedication.

  • In late 2024, he was elected President-Elect of the SWS Mid‑Atlantic Chapter, positioning him to lead initiatives across Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.
  • He also previously served as the New York State representative for the chapter, showcasing his grassroots engagement and peer recognition.

Impact on Wetland Conservation & Community

As Chapter President, Michael is set to:

  • Champion education & outreach, including organizing field trips, webinars, and workshops across the Mid‑Atlantic.
