PWGC, partnered with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Region 1, hosted a site visit for The Academy Charter Middle School (The Academy). The students were provided with an educational experience on the environmental engineering industry through presentations and demonstrations.
The presentations and demonstrations discussed personal protective equipment, the use of drones in the industry, environmental field equipment and why it is important to sample the soil and air, and environmental and engineering educational paths and how your degree translates to the real world.
We want to thank the students for their undivided attention, participation, and questions. In addition, we want to thank NSBE and The Academy for their partnership. Lastly, thank you to the PWGC staff who took time out of their day to educate the students.
