PWGC hosted the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Water, Energy and Environment (WEE) Committee Summer Meeting on August 11th and 12th at its headquarters in Bohemia, NY.
Presentations were made to the committee by representatives of New York City, The US Army Corps of Engineers, utilities, industry, and our local congressman. The ACEC WEE Committee meeting focused on the following topics:
- Resilience
- Resilience Finance
- Standards of Care – Resilience Engineering
- Renewables Development Siting Challenges
- Engineering Grid Reliability
- Energy Transition
A dinner was held on Thursday, August 11th for all meeting attendees at Lombardi’s on the Bay.
We at PWGC thank ACEC for allowing us to host the WEE Committee Summer Meeting. We thank the WEE Committee and guests for their attendance and discussions. We thank Lombardi’s on the Bay for hosting the ACEC WEE Committee dinner. We thank the PWGC staff for their efforts to organize, set up, and ensure the meeting was a success from beginning to end. The effort of all involved does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.
