PWGC Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Build Mastic Home
June 02, 2017 / PWGC News

PWGC recently sponsored the build of a residential home in Mastic, NY as part of Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk’s Affordable Homes Program (HFH), which assists Long Islanders that meet income guidelines to obtain affordable mortgages for homes built by HFH. The program is funded by companies, students and volunteers, who participate in the building of the homes. PWGC partnered with HFH to complete the one-day build.

We had 10 eager volunteers to assist with the build—after a complete safety briefing by HFH Construction Manager Ryan, we began installing the home’s new vinyl soffits and assisted in the installation of the windows and doors. Despite the day quickly coming to an end, PWGC’s volunteers stayed late and completed the tasks at hand.

Assisting HFH was a wonderful experience for the PWGC team who were grateful to take part in this build and for the opportunity to give back to the community. We hope to participate in another HFH build in the near future!
